What my son loves most about sports is the grind; putting in hard work, setting goals, and seeing real progress and achievements. He thrives on improving every day and values the teamwork it takes to accomplish something bigger than himself. Whether it’s practice or game day, he’s all in, not just for personal growth but to uplift those around him too.
God and family inspire my son on and off the court. He’s driven by faith, the love and support of those around him, and the memory of his late grandmother. Her loss fuels his determination; he plays with purpose, heart, and a deep desire to make her proud in everything he does.
As a mother, I was proudest when my son broke his wrist in a close game but still tried to play through the pain. Even injured, he kept practicing, stayed locked in, and worked hard to recover. He never let pain or doubt stop him. No matter what anyone says, he pushes every day to get better.. that kind of heart can’t be taught.
