Who inspires him, on or off the mat? His late grandfather, who recently passed away, remains his greatest inspiration. More than a grandfather, he filled the role of a father—teaching him everything from fishing and sports to life’s toughest lessons. He was always his biggest supporter, never missing a game or a chance to share wisdom. Despite battling illness for many years, he never let it slow him down.
My proudest moment is seeing him never give up. He has been bloody exhausted and had nothing left but still finished and although those times his head is not held high after but he studies what went wrong watches his matches and will purposely put himself in the same situation the next match to overcome it. He says if you want to be the best you have to wrestle the best and he is right!
