What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Despite living with a rare congenital defect called Gastroschisis (a condition in which the intestines grow outside the abdomen), Kayden chooses to live an active lifestyle. Whether he is playing baseball, flag football, tackle football, basketball, lacrosse, doing flips into the pool or riding his bike, Kayden never stops. For him, it is sports, sports and more sports! He is a natural athlete who continues to beat the odds. His eternal smile lights up the room and inspires all around him!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Kayden's "Papa" inspires Kayden. Papa not only coaches Kayden in football and baseball, he gets him to all of his practices and games and teaches him about good sportsmanship, how to be a team player, and to never give up! And for his mama, who teaches him to look adversity straight in the eye and fight to get stronger every day!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Having been born with Gastroschisis, it is a miracle that Kayden is alive today. The fact that Kayden does not let his disability define him or stop him from participating in any sport he can fit into his schedule, makes his family the proudest!
