Not only did his papaw never miss a game of his son (Kellens dad), he never misses one of Kellens game. No matter the distance or time, he shows up with memaw and it always inspires him to give his all and leave it all on the field. Papaw and Memaw are always his biggest fans, and since his Mammy passed and never got to see him play, he plays hard enough to honor her as she watches from Heaven.
Kellen is a power hitter and at one point was averaging 1 HR ev very 4 ABs. However, his mom missed it because of work . . . The very next day he promised his mother he'd hit one for her. Not only did he do that, he hit one on his Mammy's birthday and his late grandfather's birthday . . . Two people that never got to see him play, but he realized off the bat that it honored them.
