Just that - loving what she is doing. Kendyl is a born leader. She has been through lots of adversity and still always has a positive approach on and off the field. She loves being on a team and is definitely a team leader and always has a positive outlook. Plus she is super competitive and is always striving to be better at everything she does.
Her older brother. He has always had to work extra hard in our town to prove his worth. It is a predominantly white town and he is half black (he is her step brother but we don't ever call him that) she watched him battle through lots of judgment and adversity and now he is excelling as a college athlete. Her goal is of course to go to a better college than him (gotta love siblings) but she looks up to him so much. They would both do anything for each other and are each other's biggest fans.
Kendyl use to dance full time. She decided to step away 2 1/2 years ago. In the short amount of time that she has been playing - she is the starting striker and lead scorer. In track the girl pushes herself harder than anyone I know. She is consistent with workouts and is always pushing herself to be the best version of her. There is not a kid I know with more grit and dedication. She has won the all city track meets every year in middle school.
