What I love most about playing my sport is the feeling I get when I’m out there doing what I love. It pushes me to be stronger, faster, and more focused. I love the competition, the teamwork, and the way it helps me grow, not just as an athlete, but as a person. And honestly, it’s just fun! No matter what kind of day I’ve had, when I play, I feel free.
My dad inspires me both on and off the field. He’s my biggest cheerleader, always encouraging me, pushing me to do my best, and reminding me that hard work pays off. He shows up for me, believes in me even when I doubt myself, and leads by example with how hard he works and how much he cares. Knowing he’s proud of me makes me want to go even harder.
The moment I’m most proud of is when I hit a game-winning shot with just 3 seconds left. We were short-handed and down by 1, and I had carried the team the whole game. In that moment, everything I had worked for paid off. I stayed calm under pressure, took the shot, and it went in. That feeling of stepping up for my team when we really needed it, that’s something I’ll never forget.
