What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Kevin loves playing baseball because of what it truly stands for perseverance, teamwork and handling both success and failure. He loves that a single hit can change the outcome of the game. Not only does he love the drive that baseball gives him but he loves the bonds that baseball creates between the players and fans. Kevin is passionate about baseball because he sees himself pursuing his dream by playing professionally.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

The people who inspires me are my family but especially my brother. My brother is my inspiration because he sees the potential in me which he always encourages and challenges me to be better. He takes time out of his day to help me improve and better myself even if he's tired. My brother and my family are both my inspiration because they are always on those bleachers cheering me on and supporting me whether we win or lose. I am very grateful for having them each step of the way.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Kevin has been playing baseball for about 2 years but never as a pitcher. He was chosen to pitch his first game. Kevin felt excited but nervous at the same time. Pitching wasn't about throwing it was about leading the team. He pitched 3 innings to close the game. There were strikeouts and there were hits. They won the game. His team, coach and umpire congratulated him. The umpire gave him his first ever ball pitched. It was a proudest moment I would never forget. The day he became pitcher.
