What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

The powerful sense of unity that comes from being part of a team is what Kingsley loves most about playing sports. Putting in the work, overcoming differences, and striving for a shared goal creates a bond that is hard to match. Win or lose, the growth and connection are what make it worthwhile. He also thrives on the competitive edge. No matter how good you are, there is always more to strive for. That constant challenge is what drives him every day.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Kingsley is deeply inspired by the late, great Kobe Bryant. After learning about Kobe’s iconic "Mamba Mentality" he made it his mission to apply that mindset in every sport he plays and everything he does. Kobe's legacy reminds athletes everywhere to chase their goals with tunnel vision, "without fear and doubt and without an ounce of quit." His unwavering drive, discipline, and passion showed Kingsley what it means to give everything to your athletic craft and inspires him to do the same.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

After facing discrimination from a former coach, Kingsley finished the season with grace and turned that frustration into fuel. He transferred to a new team, trained harder than ever, and played up an age group. In the game against his old team, he scored the winning goal right in front of those who doubted him. He earned the “Most Clutch” award and his team finished as the number one 13U team in the state! It was a moment that made me proud of his accomplishment and most of all his character.
