What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

The excitement of game winning plays, and trying to be better every game. Working hard with his friends/teammates to be the best they can be. Representing our small town as a team they push each other and lift each other up in practice and games and go out and give it all they have against bigger teams.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His older brother and sister are great athletes. He has seen his brother overcome tough injuries to play college basketball. His sister, an All Star cheerleader, just made varsity as a freshman. They’ve shown him that hard work, good character, a strong work ethic, and being a team player can help you succeed in your goals. Through their examples, he learns the value of perseverance and dedication in achieving success. Their influence inspires him to strive for his own athletic and personal best

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I could easily say the touchdowns and incredible tackles in football or the hat tricks in soccer, but to me the proudest is watching him want to be the best he can be. Seeing him put in the time and effort to become a well-rounded athlete is inspiring. He respects his coaches by being coachable and willing to listen and work. He shows respect to his teammates by being a positive, tough leader who leads by example, and he respects himself by being accountable for his actions on and off the field.
