Competitive cheer fills me with energy and excitement. Perfecting routines, stunts, and jumps is tough but always worth it. Flag football is new to me, but I’ve adapted to vibe of the game and the atmosphere of my team. Running brings me peace, whether it’s a quick two miles or a half marathon. I enjoy the music I play or the company I train with. Boxing is my outlet, helping me release stress while building strength, focus, and discipline.
My teammates inspire me on and off the field. In two of my sports, success depends on the whole team. The way everyone shows up ready to work at practices, games, and competitions is motivating. We are always ready for anything , and we never doubt our opponents. Even when we lose, we do it together, without blaming each other. We support one another and look for ways to bond outside of practice, which makes us stronger as a team.
The one moment that makes me the proudest is when I saw her cross the finish line of her 1st 13.1 half marathon at 14 years old. I was so nervous like I was the one running the race. She didn't have a lot of time to practice because she had "end of the year" school activities to finish so I was afraid that she might not finish. I tracked her entire progress through Life360 just in casr she needed me to come rescue her (in a car, of course)
