My daughter loves gymnastics. She is athlete of the year because all she thinks about is gymnastics and improving her craft.

What Koby loves most about gymnastics is how it makes her feel strong and confident. She loves learning new skills and seeing how much she can improve with practice. Her favorite event is floor. She also love being part of a team and cheering on her friends. She says gymnastics is hard, but it’s also so much fun
Simone Biles inspires me her much because she shows her that someone who looks like me can be the best in the world. She’s strong, brave, and always stands up for herself and others, even when it’s hard. Koby loves how she flies through the air like it’s nothing, and how she never gives up—even when people doubt her. When she watches her, she believes she can be powerful too. She makes me want to keep pushing, keep training, and believe in myself, no matter what.
One moment in my gymnastics journey that makes me the proudest is when I came back after breaking my elbow and won floor champion at regionals. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through. I had to rest, heal, and then slowly rebuild my strength and confidence. There were times I was scared to get back on the equipment, but I didn’t give up. Standing on that podium after everything I went through reminded me that I’m strong, brave, and capable of anything I set my mind to."
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
