You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
Kohlin loves the opportunity to get out and learn new skills and improve his techniques while having a great time. He really enjoys the camaraderie with his fellow players.
When Tiger Woods began playing at a young age with practice and determination, became a great golfer. His story of his early start and perseverance inspires him. Kohlin started golfing at age 4 and had an amazing first coach. He started with a beginner set of golf clubs and took weekly 45-min lessons at a local golf course. His first coach, Eric Whelan at Calusa Lakes, taught him the beginner moves of golf and how to have fun doing it. From that point, Kohlin fell in love with the game.
On July 23, 2024 Kohlin won 2nd place in the local qualifier in the PGA Drive Chip & Putt at the age of 6 in the Boys 7-9 age category. The overwhelming sense of pride we felt for him was untouchable. Seeing the huge smile on his face and just knowing that he could achieve that for himself was priceless.
