Korie is inspired by Caitlin Clark her fav female basketball player, her 5th grade teacher always cheering her on whether it was a practice or game. She also looks up to Chris weeks a swimmer who strives to be the best and is up and coming future Olympian. Korie also looks up to her aunt Emily who was also an athlete and is always calling to check in on her games, practice or challenging her on a game.
One moment that makes me the proudest was when Korie was down and out about half way during a game and her team was feeling the loss before it even happened and Korie looked at the score board and said mom, a few 3s and we’re back in this. Sure enough, she put up 12 points in a blink and the team began to feel the game, the confidence and thrill, together they came back and won the game. Played hard, felt defeated but was able to bounce back and come out on top. Korie is a fighter.
