What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves playing for a travel team. He loves the experience of traveling different locations and getting to play against all levels of talent. He loves all the opportunities that helps him be a better player. Loves the team atmosphere that baseball brings. The satisfaction he gets from getting a basehit, or an out in the infield, or even when he pitches and gets a strike out he says is such a great feeling. He loves that in this sport he is capable of playing multiple positions and a high level.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

There are two people who have had an inspiring impact on him he says. Me, his dad. He says the confidence I can bring him when I tell him how good he can be really inspires him to be his best. Also the push I give him at times when needed. And all the sacrifices I have done to let him have all the opportunities he can get to succeed. Which brings up his biggest inspiration. An ex pro baseball player Eric Valdez. He has trained Kyler for over a year, and has done amazing things for him.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Kyler at 10 gave up his other sports to focus on baseball. He started travel 2 years ago. He has trained with an ex pro for over a year. He started on an A level local travel team. He was not getting the development and opportunities he should of with that team. He didnt give up. He decided to work harder, and got looked at by an AA in a bigger city, and they loved him. And he was offered a spot with this AA team as a middle infielder and pitcher. He also had a 3.97 GPA out of 6th grade.
