My son loves sports because they give him the chance to meet new people and build strong bonds with his teammates. He enjoys traveling to places he’s never been, which adds to the excitement. Sports also keep him busy and focused, especially when he has free time. It’s more than just a game to him, it’s about connection, adventure, and staying active.
My son is inspired to play sports by his papa, who passed away just a day before a championship game. Though his papa never got the chance to see him play or grow into something he truly loves, his memory drives my son to keep pushing, honoring him with every game he plays.
My son’s proudest moment in sports was starting off not knowing much but dedicating time every day to improve. Hearing his name called over the speaker for multiple touchdowns in every game or being undefeated in races that he ran in track, for two years in a row made him realize just how far he’d come. That was the moment he knew he was growing and truly getting better.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
