Receive Text UpdatesPlaying baseball has always made him happy. He tried other sports, and is a naturally talented overall athlete, but it was always baseball. It feels good to be good at something. and to want to better yourself. The drive he has to always be better is inspiring. Baseball is a way to dig deep into something for 2 hours...nothing else...just the game. that feels good. something that can be just his, if only for 2 hours at a time.
I think he is inspired most by his dedication to his own self & talents as well as his teammates/friends that surround him. Of course you want to be good for you(stats) but nothing feels better than coming up big for your teammates.
My proudest mom moment (so far) has to be his freshman year of high school, he was pulled up to varsity for the playoffs, with no playing time expected. He got an at bat in a semi final game, and with 2 strikes he hit a line drive shot to right field, scoring the walk off run(mercy rule). I get chills re watching the video even now, a year later!
