Landon loves all aspects of baseball, but I think what he loves most is the feeling of being part of a team. He works so hard every game, be it pitching, catching, or somewhere in the outfield, because his primary goal is to not let his team down. His favorite position is pitcher, but he is turning out to be quite the catcher as well. But I really think baseball gives him a sense of belonging, which has been really great for him given his struggles.
Definitely his Dad, who has been actively serving as one of his coaches for years. They have a special bond when it comes to baseball, and they've both grown a great deal throughout the years, not only as father and son, but also coach and player.
The day he hit his first homerun, for sure!!! I've never seen him feel better about himself than he did that day!! It brought me to tears of joy for him! I beam with mama pride every time I see him in that uniform doing what he loves, but that homerun was an extra special moment!
