Thank you for generously supporting Lane in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
Lane thrives on the excitement of competition, the opportunity to grow through challenges, and the strong connections he builds with his teammates. He truly loves being part of a team where everyone works toward a common goal. Whether he is guiding a teammate with swing mechanics, leading warmups, or hearing his family cheer from the stands, these moments bring him joy. He is motivated by personal growth earned through effort and by the encouragement and energy that come from those around him.
Lane is most inspired by his older brother, a college baseball player whose journey through adversity proved that heart and perseverance matter more than natural ease. Witnessing his brother’s determination helped Lane understand that true success comes from consistent effort, not just talent or luck. He also finds daily motivation in teammates and coaches who stay positive and lead by example, showing that strong character and resilience are just as important as skill.
At his seventh-grade cross country conference meet, Lane led from the start and stayed strong throughout. In the final stretch, he faced unexpected adversity but stayed focused and pushed through to finish first. Another proud moment came when he chose to step away from a toxic team environment on his own after completing his commitment, showing maturity and self-awareness beyond his years. In every situation, Lane leads with effort, character, and a deep commitment to personal growth.
