He loves teamwork and being a leader. He is passionate about doing the right things and doing it the right way. He loves any situation that requires him to think and or out hustle his competitors. Langston hates losing but has always shown great sportsmanship in any loss. He uses these losses to learn from them and never gets down too much on himself about it. He moves on quickly and looks forward to making whatever adjustments needed win his personal and team battles.
Langston’s inspiration in comes from a combination of people. There are several youth student athletes he follows and looks up to. He has started to follow local highschool and college athletes so he cherishes the opportunities to see them play in person or just catch their highlights on the gram. On the pro level sports, he is inspired by Ronald Acuña Jr and Shoehi Othani. Football his guys are Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes.
This is hard because I get more and more proud every day from seeing his growth daily. But one moment in time would be 9u PG Allstate games and he caught 2.5 games in 95+ degree weather. He knew the team needed him in that spot as the far more polished catcher. He never complained and refused to come out of the game when asked if he needed a break. I remember after losing in the chanpionship game how proud he was of himself and passed out on the hour ride home shortly after leaving the park.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
