Thank you for generously supporting Lauren in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
She loves that sports give her a fun way to release energy, grow her skills, and bond with her teammates. Whether she’s winning medals, traveling for meets, or mastering a new technique, she shows up with passion. But what she loves most is cheering others on. Lifting up her team and finding joy in their success as much as her own.
She’s inspired by her sister Destiny, who once competed in one of the same sports, track, and now leads by example. Destiny sets big goals and works hard to achieve them, showing what’s possible with dedication. She encourages her to dream big, stay focused, and reminds her that greatness starts with believing in yourself.
Lauren is most proud of the fact that she made it to the AAU Junior Olympics in long jump during her very first track season, a huge accomplishment. But I’m most proud of how she handles setbacks. When a skill doesn’t land or she doesn’t place as hoped, she still cheers for her team and shows up for the next event with heart. Her resilience, grace, and team spirit make every moment a proud one.
