What I really love about my sports are that they are not all about one person being the best. Everyone on the team has to work together, and every position matters. It’s like a big puzzle and every piece has to fit for us to win.
The person who inspires me is Sammy White. She was a defender/midfielder for Northwestern and part of the US team when they won gold this year. I love the energy and competitiveness she brings to the game. Her ability to play all positions is incredible as well. She inspires me because of the diversity and talent she brings to the game.
One of my proudest moments was last year when she faced her nerves and played in a game against girls much older than her. Even though she was nervous, she didn’t back down. She held her own and pushed through that fear, helping her team win.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
