Thank you for generously supporting Laylah in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
She loves winning against the boys. When she wins a game or a race her smile on her face lights up the track, field, or rink. She loves working to get there and never misses practice because she wants to be the best. She wants to beat the boys.
Hailey Wickizer inspires her the most because she played boys hockey like my daughter and speaks up about mental heath. My daughter watches her play old plays on the TV and reads her book Over the Boards. She looks up to her and wants to play like her. She met her 2 times and she would kill to meet her again. She is truly amazing and really helped my daughter as a role model.
My proudest moment is in a tournament for hockey in Minto Ontario. The other team’s coaches picked who got MVP every game Laylah(my daughter) got it two out of three games. The game she didn’t get it the other teams coach approached me and said no way she’s in this level, She’s 100% in a higher level. Laylah being next to me said “i’m in this level and we just smoked your boys!”
