Laylah is inspired by her mom, who always encourages her to stay confident, work hard, and never give up—on or off the field. She also looks up to pro softball catchers for how they lead their teams and stay tough under pressure.
One of my proudest moments was when Laylah got hit by a pitch, shook it off, and stayed in the game without tears or fear. It showed me how tough she’s become—not just physically, but mentally. She didn’t just play through it—she caught the rest of the game like a true leader. That grit and heart make me proud every time she steps on the field.
