What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Leah loves the competition, the thrill of pushing herself to new limits, and the bond she shares with her teammates. Whether it's on the track or the basketball court, she thrives on the challenge, the grind, and the chance to grow every time she plays.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Leah is inspired by her parents, especially her dad, whose resilience, work ethic, and belief in her have been constant motivators. On the field, she looks up to athletes who balance excellence with humility—those who lead by example, lift others up, and never stop grinding, no matter the spotlight.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment that stands out in Leah’s athletic journey is when she beat the top two runners in the state as a sophomore. Not just because she won—but because of how she did it: with focus, grit, and zero fear. That race showed her heart, her confidence, and her ability to rise in the biggest moments. It was a glimpse of the champion she’s becoming—on her terms.
