Leo loves to compete and work hard but he loves the team aspect most. He loves being part of a team and playing not just for himself but for his teammates . Being a good teammate will help shape him into being not just a great athlete but also an even better human.
Leo’s older brother inspires him to work hard everyday. He had been in his shadow from the day he was born watching and waiting for his turn. His brother challenges him to be better and to want more out of himself. His brother has also taught him how to be a leader for his team and to always be positive.
This year Leo’s 7u baseball team won the PG KS/MO state championship. Seeing his face when he crossed home plate to score the last run that ended the game was a moment we will never forget. It was the reward of countless hours of training not only during the season but throughout the entire off season. This victory was sweet but the life lesson that hard work pays off was even better. They were all true champions that day!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
