Leyla loves the all the wrestling encumbrances. Weight lifting, the long practices, and tournaments. She welcomes it all and on a daily basis.
Leyla inspiration comes from the likes of Amanda Nunes, McKenzie Dern, Bo Basset, and her older sister who laid the foundation for Leyla when she began to wrestle.
During this past year (sophomore year) she experienced a injury which sidelined her for a month. During that time she did all that she could to rehab the injury to return to the mat. She came back in time wrestle in CIF tournament and place in the top eight and earn a spot in the Masters tournament. Her never giver up attitude is what makes us proud of her.
