What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

In Liam's own words "Who doesn't love baseball, is there any other sport?! I love pitching but really love catching. I've found my passion catching. Everyone loves when I'm behind the plate and can set up a target to get strikes. I love the friendships I have built and just cheering on my team. My coaches especially this Spring season really helped me. I love the game, I'm going to keep playing as long as I'm able!"

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Liam is so inspired by Aaron Judge. He loves the way he plays the game, the way he shows up on and off the field and his ability to rally around his teammates even during the losing times. Liam does that and at his age, he's always in good spirits. If he has a bad game, he'll say, you know Aaron Judge has bad days but he's still on top.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

When Liam stepped up and asked his coach to pitch. The coach came over and asked do I think he's ready. I was unsure but my faith said let him try. When he got to the mound and wound up to throw the first pitch, I closed my eyes and waited. As my eyes were closed, everyone started screaming and then I opened my eyes. He threw hard fast strikes, three up, three down immediately. The coach came over and said "we let that talent sit and not pitch, nope". I smiled from ear to ear.
