I love the competitiveness of the sport, how I get to meet some of the world's best at competitions and how I get to shoot with them. Its really fascinating how mixed the sport is and how welcoming the community is. It's also just a fun sport to be involved in
Kim Rhode inspires me both on and off the feild. Ive met and talked to her and seen her shoot at past events and she inspires me to keep working hard. She may be an older competitor, but she is still a six time olympic medalist, and a sweet soul. She inspires me to be both a good shooter and person.
One of our proudest moments was watching her reach a milestone for every competitve shooter, shooting a perfect 25 targets in a round. She accomplished this goal at a match in West Palm Beach. Having her older brother there, also a competitive shooter in International Trap, to share that milestone made it even better. The other proud moment was when we realized she had fought her way thru a very tough field to become one of the five that would go on to make Team USA Jr National Selection.
