You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
Her teammates are her favorite part. She loves that they become like family. She also loves the feeling of accomplishment that comes with executing the hard work she puts in.
Her first inspiration is her older sister who was a phenomenal athlete. She is determined to become just like her. Second are two of her softball coaches. When she hits a bomb in a scrimmage for another team that needed a player, the first person she wants to tell is Coach Ski. After having a good game, she ran to give Coach Joint a hug, beaming with excitement because he stayed after a tournament to watch her play for another team. Those 3 are all the motivation she needs.
Her team had a rough travel season. After 12 straight losses she was given the opportunity to pitch an entire game. Any other game she pitched in, she would only pitch one or two innings. That game ended up being the first win the team had. She felt like she really made a difference and helped her team get over the slump. She has been taking pitching lessons almost weekly for 3 years. She puts in the work!
