Join the CompetitionLily loves playing hockey because it challenges her to grow every season. As one of the only girls on an all-boys team, she works hard to prove herself and support her teammates. She thrives on being part of a team and always aims to lift others up. Setting new goals and pushing herself to reach them is what drives her. For Lily, it’s not just about the sport - it’s about growing, learning, and leading by example.
Lily is inspired by Jessica Campbell, the first female NHL coach, because she proves that women belong at the highest level of the game. It gives Lily hope for her own future in hockey. She also looks up to Connor McDavid for his work ethic, motivation, and team-first mindset. Even as a record-breaking captain, he stays humble - something Lily admires and mirrors in her own play as a dedicated and selfless teammate.
One of my proudest moments was when Lily won MVP of the season on her team. Her coach shared that she was always teachable, never missed a practice or game, motivated others, lifted the team when they were down, and never sought the spotlight. It showed how much her leadership, dedication, and love for the game were recognized and respected - not just for her skill, but for the heart she brings to the ice.
