You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
Logan will tell you it "builds stamina", which with a blood disorder he is very aware of his limitations. Being a Goalkeeper allows him to play soccer without having to run too much. He loves "diving" for the ball, trying to pop out the high balls and make as many saves as possible. He loves coaching his teammates too, yelling out who needs coverage, where to stand etc. so a leadership role on his team.
Lionel Messi and Ronaldo! Although he can't run like them, he is most proud to be able to stop goals that come at him "like Lionel and Ronaldo". Logan says, "I want to go pro in soccer so I can make lots of money, have fun and give my grandma a million dollars a day because she deserves it for raising me and my sister"!
Watching Logan give it his all no matter how his day is going. With multiple diagnosis, he struggles every single day with something, but soccer gives him that time to focus only on the ball and nothing else. One game he was yelling to his teammates to watch a guy up left field who wasn't being covered. None of his teammates could hear him. Logan tried one last time to get the attention of his defender, then at the last minute ran out to intercept the ball himself and made the save!
