What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Trust. Lora plays defense—so to someone unfamiliar with the game, she might go unnoticed. But her energy is undeniable. Her teammates trust her, follow her lead, and play more cohesively. She’s been voted captain time and again by her peers - speaks about the kind of leader and teammate she is. Lora gives 100%: stealing, rebounding, defending, sprinting end to end. And when the game is over, she walks off the court sore, exhausted, and smiling -because she knows she left everything out there.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Lora is most inspired by her teammates—whether it’s her summer travel team or varsity squad. She admires the ones who stay true to themselves, work hard, and lift others up without needing the spotlight. They lead quietly but powerfully, and that really resonates with her. She’s also inspired by her coaches and the growing recognition of women’s basketball. Seeing the game finally get the respect it deserves motivates her to keep pushing and be part of that change.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

What makes me proudest is watching Lora grow as an athlete while navigating teenage years. She started out quiet and unsure, but through basketball, she found her voice and confidence. In just one season, she went from rookie to MVP—not by chasing the spotlight, but by leading with heart, lifting others, and showing up with quiet strength. The title was amazing, but what matters most is how the game has helped her believe in herself—and inspire others along the way.
