Lyon loves the intensity of racing. He loves the feeling he gets right before they call “one minute” and everyone starts up their engines. He loves that what he puts into It, he directly gets out of It. He loves that even though racing in itself is a very “individual” sport, he has created life long friendships. At just 7 years old he loves to calculate passing, speed transitions, and high g-force turns while hitting speeds of up to 67 mph.
Lyon feels inspired by his coach Nick, Frankie Mossman, Lewis Hamilton, and his dad. His coach Nick is constantly showing Lyon how to strive for more and perfect his abilities. Frankie Mossman is currently a top USF Pro 2000 driver, Lyon loves to watch his races and learn from his driving style. Lewis Hamilton is one of Lyon’s idols! Formula 1 is Lyon’s ultimate dream. Finally, Lyon’s dad inspires Lyon to work hard, take matters into his into his own hands, and to always follow through.
Lyon has made us proud on SO many occasions. He has won multiple championships, dominated in his category racing at his home track while being one of the youngest, braved new tracks and has over 45 trophies… with that being said, our proudest moment is watching Lyon run over to the weigh in station to check on one of his fellow racers who crashed. Lyon is extremely competitive but even more generous. He wears his heart on his sleeve, always strives to win and always holds his morals first.
