What she loves most is, she plays not just one, two but three and possibly 4 sports. She has overcome some physical hurt but, she keeps going. She has had a bad start but has proven not just to be the best but to show that no matter what her physical body has endure she can do it. If you want it and be the best you can be. Not just for you but to set an example that don't let anything or anyone keep you down. When you get rejected, keep pushing. For her at this age she knows what being humble is
For Mèlani it would be her team mates and her parents. Her team mates cheer her on and let her know she can do it. And for her parents (us) we always tell her that she can do anything when she sets her mind to it. Always be there for her team mates and help when ever you can. Her goal is to make it into the Olympics in 4 yrs. For her that is a goal that she will be working towards and that is a big goal and a Hugh weight for a 14 yr old to carry. Well, she wants to try.
Well, she was a queen for Norco horse week and for her was helping the kids with disabilities. She was able to help and have fun at the same time with them. For her they looked up to her and it was a sense of humbleness at age 11-12 that she was able to be there for someone. Also, caring for her team mates and encouraging them in anything. And I am very proud of her. She is my hero!!!!
