Thank you for generously supporting Mackenzie in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
The friendships! Mackenzie has made incredible bonds over the years with some pretty amazing boys and girls. Her confidence has sky rocketed with the opportunities she’s been presented. Other than those everlasting relationships, Mackenzie is a kid who likes to improve at her skills and gives 100%.
Other than mom and dad who also did sports their whole life, Mackenzie really looks up to Michael Jordan. His classy hardworking demeanor has always been relatable to her, and he played both the sports she loves! As a true New Englander, Kenzie loves Tom Brady as they share the same beliefs and the same birthday!
Every practice, every long road trip, every win& loss is always a proud moment. But one moment recently is Mackenzie and 3 other girls were picked out of the whole 4th grade girls class (about 60 girls) to compete in the basketball “hot shot” contest. She has struggled for years with anxiety and going in front of the entire school for a 60 second shoot off, with her whole class cheering her name was a huge accomplishment. She unfortunately lost but the confidence boost was the real win.
