What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Mackenzie enjoys being in a positive environment that challenges and pushes her to get better at a sport she loves! She surrounds herself with peers who share the same love and passion for the sport of softball as she does. Mackenzie thrives on the challenge of competing and the satisfaction of winning along with the growth within losing. Her passion on and off the field is exceptional- she is learning to juggle being a student athlete and enjoys community involvement always confiding in faith!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Her mother inspires her because of how much love, support, and knowledge she has taught her. Mackenzie is humbled by how resilent and understanding her mother has always been with her slow, steady growth of the game. Her mother's love and encouragement is always with her which motivates her to never stop believing in herself even when times get tough. Her parents are a huge inspiration and the motivation behind her determination. Without thier love and support none of this would be possible!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Mackenzie is an inspiration and most who know her, see that through her silly tendencies and shyness- she is actually a tender heart with lots of love to give. She rarely thinks of herself, but always wants to give to others. She does not complain about the hard days and never looks for sympathy when she is tired or restless, instead she perseveres. Mackenzie is mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually stronger than most. She makes us proud of her and shows us how pure her heart is!
