What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

• The speed and adrenaline – that feeling of flying on the track • The focus and clarity – where everything else fades and he’s completely in the zone • The independence – it’s just him, the kart, and the track • The strategy – reading turns, making split-second decisions, and outsmarting opponents • The community – being part of something where he’s respected and understood • The challenge – constantly improving, pushing limits, and earning every win He feels most like himself on the trac

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

I look up to racers like Max Verstappen for their focus and drive, but my biggest inspiration is my dad. He’s always by my side—helping with my kart, encouraging me, and reminding me to keep learning. He is also my self taught mechanic. My coach pushes me to grow and believe in myself. School is tough having ASD and ADHD, but racing helps me feel strong, smart, and capable. The track is where I shine, and the people who support me help me believe I can do anything, & I know I can, don’t give up.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

This is Maddax’s first full year racing, and he’s already keeping up with—and even beating—kids with years of experience. One of my proudest moments was watching him spin out, stay calm, and fight his way back into the race. He didn’t win, but he showed heart and resilience. Even more than his skill, I’m proud of how he encourages his fellow racers. He’s competitive, but he always leads with kindness and support. He’s looked up to by younger racers. If you aren’t winning you’re learning.
