During a championship game he hit a double off of a pitcher that was having a rough game. He was pulled and placed in the outfield and while the new pitcher was warming up, Madden took his helmet off and stepped off base to go lift the other pitcher up in the outfield. He was crying and Madden made sure to let him know don’t sweat it, better games ahead. That’s what truly matters.
