Maddox loves the thrill of scoring, whether it’s hitting in baseball, making a basket in basketball, or scoring a touchdown in football. He lights up in those moments, not just because it’s helping his team, but because it’s showing his hard work paying off. He loves seeing progress and feeling stronger, faster, and more confident after every play. For Maddox, scoring isn’t just exciting, it’s proof that he’s getting better every day.
Maddox is inspired by his dad, who coaches him in all three of his sports and helps him practice whenever he wants. Whether it’s rebounding basketball shots in the driveway, playing catch in the yard, or (much to his mom’s dismay) throwing football passes in the living room, his dad is involved in every sport with him. Maddox’s dad was a great athlete and his intense love for sports is what inspires Maddox to work hard and become the best athlete he can be.
What makes us proudest is Maddox’s nonstop drive to improve. After a full basketball practice, he will still ask to get in some baseball batting practice. During football season, he’s doing basketball workouts, and in baseball season, he also trains for football. No matter the sport or season, he’s always asking to do more. His commitment and drive to getting better every day truly inspires us.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
