There are so many elements of enjoyment in baseball, being in the out doors. Beautiful ball fields. I think for Maddox its the bonds made with teammates. The the thrill of fielding a line drive hitting a homerun or as small as an RBI or stolen base. The improvements season to season. It allows for growth. He's grown up in baseball.

I remember a few seasons back. Maddox was about 14. His coach decided to try him out on pitching. We were a bit nervous new territory. One game the team was struggling and the crowd started to get fussy. With every walk or hit they got more vocal. That kid never gave up. He held his own with determination. He rose to meet the challenge. Didnt give up. Never let pressure get to him.
