He first loved soccer at a very young age and has played since 4 yrs. He loves the thrill of moving the ball, sending it down the field, and helping his team score. He started a passion for basketball when he was 5 and has really fallen in love with everything about the game. He’s loves the fast paced, back and forth, quick shots, deep threes, and breaking ankles. He’s small but mighty and fast. He loves the idea of making it to the NBA.
At 4 yrs, his first Coach “Krone” encouraged and exposed him to a variety of scenarios and positions on the field and he made it fun! His current soccer coach “Vera” helps him push past the discomfort of a day/game to see the potential future. Coach and family have incredible values and passion for soccer, and this is poured into young athletes. Basketball coach “Clark” is also a spiritual friend and mentor. He’s a veteran, a father,leader, and his passion for faith, kids & basketball is a gift.
The every day journey and his “coachability.” The day when you are tired or hot or had practices already and coach wants you to come back out. We taught it’s ok to take a break if it’s really needed, but it’s important to show up for everyone else. It’s ok to let everyone know you may not be at your best, but you show up for your team. Teaching the sport and the skills are part of the journey, but the every day journey to show up for a team has been something special to watch.
