What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Maddox loves to play sports and is always a student of whatever game he’s playing. He enjoys trying every position and learning new skills. He’s addicted to competition and being on a team with his teammates and friends.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Maddox said his family first and foremost because they inspire him. His faith in God. He’s also inspired by several professional athletes such as Michael Jordan the GOAT, Anthony Edward’s, SGA, Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson, Christian McCaffrey, Barry Bonds and Ken Griffey Jr.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Maddox was hit by the pitch about ten times this year and was understandably fearful of being hit again. One game he was hit three times including his head. Even though he was scared he fought through his fear and kept going up to bay. Then, he broke out with a three hit game including two doubles and conquered his fear of being hit by the pitch.
