She thrives under pressure, enjoys the strategy behind each play, and takes pride in constantly working to improve her game. Madisyn has the ability to excel in any sport, but softball is where she’s found her true passion.
Madisyn is inspired by two powerhouse role models, Lisa Fernandez and Maya Brady. She looks up to Lisa Fernandez for her dominance as a pitcher and her fearless leadership on the Olympic stage, and to Maya Brady for her ability to balance legacy, pressure, and excellence with grace. These athletes motivate her to push harder, lead by example, and never settle for anything less than her best.
What makes me the proudest as a parent is not just the big wins or highlight plays, but the moment she picked herself and her teammates up after a tough loss, rallying them with encouragement, holding her head high, and showing true leadership in adversity. That moment reminded me that being an athlete isn’t just about skill, but about character. Watching her grow into the confident, determined, and compassionate young athlete she is today has been the greatest reward of all.
