She values their insight and opinion about what she or her team need to do to improve. She is always looking for ways to help her team whether that be in help defense for basketball or running the fastest she can on her leg of a relay. She wants to be there any way she can to make the team better.
Maggie is inspired by the powerhouse female athletes of this generation. She adores Ilona Maher for her body and strength positivity and messaging to be yourself. She loves Caitlin Clark, Maddie Siegrist and Paige Bueckers for shining a light on women's basketball and helping to bring women's sports to the forefront after years of female players and games being in the shadow of men's sports.
Maggie is a tough defender in basketball. It is her specialty and often other players on opposing teams don't like her because of it. She played in a tournament final against a player that didn't like that Maggie's defense was shutting her down. She was yelling in Maggie's face, fouling her, yelling about Maggie to her parents on the sidelines. Maggie kept her cool, held her head high and played the best defensive basketball game of her career and they lost. We were never prouder of her.
