A year ago her team lost their gym due to a fire. Half of their team went to one gym and the other half went to another. Makenzie tried to overcome the change but ultimately asked to go to another gym. She learned a new routine within two weeks to compete at one of the largest competitions in Indy. She showed how resilient she is and never quit. She knew she would have to earn her flyer position and by the end of the season she was flying 100% of the time. She did it all with a smile.
