I love that it always makes me feel great. When I'm in a in a bad mood, baseball calms me. I like knowing that I am a contributor to my team, whether it's my high school or club. If I had a choice to either play baseball or do anything else I would always choose baseball. My number one goal is to one day to turn my hobby into a living, and that's why I practice every week.
The most important influence in my life is God. Jesus' teachings help me to set priorities in my life, and helps me navigate relationships with others. As a Catcher, I admire the Royals' way to train their catchers, one on their blocking ability and another on how well their throw down successes are. I choose to model my game after Salvy, as he is a future first ballot HOFer. My favorite player is Aaron Judge. I enjoy watching him shatter records and amaze me in the process.
Chi is incredibly humble. He doesn't gloat or bring attention to himself ever. It doesn't matter if he's batting 1000 or 0, he always has the same positive attitude, energy and encouragement for his teammates. On the field he always gives it his all and strives to be the best athlete he can be. When he was 12, he earned a trip to the World Series to compete in the National Pitch Hit and Run. He came in 2nd by only 10 points and was the youngest kid in his age group!
