What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

She loves playing shortstop, catching, and playing third. She loves going to practices and being a team leader. Other teammates look up to her bc of how passionate she is towards softball.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Her dad inspires her! She looks up to her dad and asks questions to him when she is always looking to improve. They practice daily and she hopes to continue to grow and play for a D1 university one day.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment that made me the proudest is when her team was struggling during a tournament and Maleah stood up and tried to encourage the team after several teammates had given up. They ended up coming back and winning the tournament!! Such a proud moment seeing my daughter encourage others even though they were losing at the time.
