My child could be the Youth Athlete of the year, because this year he was triple champion in soccer(indoor and outdoor) and baseball.

He loves the leadership, teamwork and commitment every player brings to the table. I see my child becoming a great coach in his future. He nurtures and encourages all his teammates no matter if it’s in different language. He loves the friendship, the winning part of every sport he plays, and when he is boxing he loves to show the new kids how to do the convos. Overall the companionship is what he loves.
Boxing, his grandfather was a boxer in Mexico, his favorite boxer is Maromero Páez. Soccer his other grandfather, he coached recreational his entire life, when he hears the stories his Pa tell him his face lights up. His fav player is Chino Huerta from Pumas team. Baseball he is in love with the story of Fernando Valenzuela and his fernandomania, he inspires to be like him.
One time when they lost a game, his face of deception and disappointment made me realize that for him it’s more than just a game. It’s in his blood. But at that moment he sucked it up and started cheering his teammates, he told them not to give up, he chanted si se puede! Yes you can do it! One of the proudest moment a parent can have. Overall we are so proud of the young athlete he is becoming, the family he is making and the thirst he is showing.
