His grandmother nurtured that passion by keeping a scorebook and watching every game with him. Their bond and legacy live on every time Mark steps on the field.
What makes me proudest is his heart—how Mark plays the game with integrity, leads with humility, and treats others with respect. Being named an All-Star and chosen as team captain was an honor, but it’s the praise from opposing coaches and how he carries himself on and off the field that truly moves me. Mark is a great athlete—and a remarkable young man.
