Mark loves the feeling of gliding through the water like a fish. He enjoys the challenge of racing and beating his own times. He loves and being part of a team that supports and motivates each other. Most of all, he feels proud and confident every time he finishes a tough swim.
Mark looks up to Olympic swimmers like Caeleb Dressel and dreams of being that fast one day. His biggest motivation, though, comes from within—he loves the challenge and wants to see just how far he can go.
I’m most proud of his perseverance—no matter how tough the swim or how far behind he finishes, he never gives up. Instead of feeling defeated, he cheers the loudest for his teammates, even the ones who beat him. That kind of heart, grit, and sportsmanship is what truly makes him a champion in my eyes.
